She is a National Speaker on a variety of topics for Health Care Workers. She is published in both print and video , having worked in collaboration with The University of Maryland Video Press . She serves on the Education and Quality of Life Committees with the Health Facilities Association of Maryland as well President of the Coalition of Activity Professionals . Patti Hughes is a Registered Nurse Certified as a Regional Director of Nursing in Long Term Care . She is also certified in geriatrics in addition to being a Certified Dementia Practitioner .She is also an authorized certification instructor with the National Certification Council of Dementia Practitioners. She is an evaluator for the Maryland geriatric Nursing Assistant Program . She speaks professionally on multiple topics and issues related to health care and the geriatric population. She has lectured in collaboration with the Attorney General's Office on Abuse Investigations. She does legal nurse consulting and testifies as an expert witness in Long Term Care . She brings with her more than 21 years of nursing experience in both acute care and long term care . She is the Clinical Vice President of Dawn On The Horizon, an education and consulting business.

Calvin Vain Jr. began his health care career more than 15 years ago as the Director of Environmental Services. As he worked his way through the ranks he attended Towson University where he received his bachelors in Economics. From there he went on to become a Maryland Nursing Home Administrator. He was awarded the 2006 Administrator of the Year from the Health Facilities Association of Maryland .He is a National Speaker whose focus is on improving the quality of life of our aging population. His experience in both facility operations as well as corporate development makes him an expert in resource management. He shares the vision that culture change can and should happen in every long term care facility through out the United States and it happens with a dedicated Administrator,Director of Nursing and Recreation Director. He currently serves on the Education for quality Committee through the Health Facilities Association of Maryland.
Kathy Wright Moore Director of Educational Development
Kathy Wright Moore graduated from Michigan State University in 1979 with a BS degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She has over 25 years of experience working with seniors in a wide variety of settings. Kathy is a licensed recreational therapist (LRT) in North Carolina, is nationally certified as a CTRS and is certified by NCCAP as an ACC. She is a trainer in NC for the state approved course and completed the MEPAP 2nd edition training for instructors in 2005. Kathy currently serves as the Executive Director for the Coalition of Activity Professionals (COAP-NC), a state wide activity professional association in NC.She teaches, consults and mentors professionals throughout the country.
